Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

Parking on school grounds

We kindly remind our families that on-site parking is limited. To ensure a smooth and safe pick-up and drop-off process for everyone, we encourage parents and caregivers to discuss pick-up arrangements with their child. Options include using the service road located behind Bells Line of Road or other appropriate areas agreed upon.

Please note that buses have priority in the school driveway and parking area between 2:00 pm and 2:40 pm. During this time, cars are not permitted in the driveway to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

If you are picking up your child(ren), we recommend parking at a safe alternate location outside the school gates or waiting until after 2:40 pm to enter the school driveway. Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe and efficient environment for everyone.

Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our school community safe!

Students and cars

At Colo High School, students who are permitted to drive to school are required to park within the designated parking spaces in an appropriate and responsible manner that is respectful to other car park users.

Students can see Mr Hanns (in the Industrial Arts faculty) to obtain the necessary paperwork, which must be submitted prior to parking on school grounds.

Please note that students are not permitted to return to their vehicles during the school day and should ensure they bring all necessary equipment with them upon arrival.
