Dear Parents/Carers,
Unfortunately, I have had to make the decision this afternoon to cancel Colo High School attending the Zone Swimming Carnival tomorrow. With the unpredicted weather we have had to cancel the buses.
I have contacted the conveners of the event and they are still running the carnival. If our students can attend the venue with their own transport, then they can still participate. We don’t want any of our students or families to attend if it is unsafe. Your safety is our priority and there are other ways we can submit times to ensure our students are considered.
Allocations for the Sydney West Swimming Team will be based on submitted times and historical history of swimmers in 2021. If there are any students who participate competitively outside of school and are generally competitive at Sydney West, can you please speak to the staff from the PDHPE Faculty.
We know that this news will be disappointing to some of our students and families, but we unfortunately cannot predict the weather and need to ensure all staff and students are kept safe.
