goIT Girls STEM Program
After 3 years, goIT Girls will be delivered in-person to students across Australia!
Don't miss the deadline for your application.
goIT Girls is challenging stereotypes and inspiring women in STEM once again. In its ninth year running by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), this work experience program will see students meet inspiring senior executives throughout the four-day program. There will be opportunities to learn about the growing number of jobs available in the technology industry fields as future innovators, problem solvers, creative professionals and more!
The goIT Girls program is a work experience program aimed at female students in Years 10 and 11. At TCS, we are empowering Australian students with the skills they need to be ready for the workplace of the future.
Participants will meet senior executives from TCS and from our client organisations. These executives will provide insight into the various STEM roles that exist across the business spectrum, with the hope of inspiring a new generation of innovators, problem solvers and technology professionals. The aim is to provide insight into the existence of gender occupational stereotypes in the technology industry in order to challenge and eventually overcome them.
goIT Girls has four areas of focus:
Students can expect to undertake workshops covering Agile Methodology, Design Thinking, Interviewing and Presentation Skills, Innovative Technology, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as hearing from leading Women in Technology from TCS’ client network and Chatting to Mentors from TCS. Students will also undertake a business challenge set by a major TCS client to apply their new skills and understanding, with the program culminating in a pitch event.
